TickITplus
Develop Capability Ltd has been awarded Accredited Training Provider status by GASQ (Global Association for Software Quality).
The training is delivered on a regular basis as a public course and can also be delivered on-site at your offices.
We deliver Accredited Foundation and Capability training. This can be a public training course or an in-house course tailored to your specific needs.
The training has been developed by Bal Matu who has over thirty years of experience of working with the original TickIT scheme. He has worked closely with the TickITplus scheme development and participated in the early adopter assessments. He is a Registered TickITplus Foundation Assessor and Capability Assessor.
Course Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisites for students attending this course or taking the examination. Delegates wishing to register at the Foundation grade for Assessors and Practitioners will need to complete the course and pass the exam. Successful completion of the Foundation course is a pre-requisite for those wanting to register at the Capability grade.
It is recommended that delegates should have a good practical knowledge and some experience of the requirements of ISO 9001, and should have a basic understanding of IT fundamentals and processes as described in ISO/IEC 12207 and ISO/IEC 15288 before they start on this course. While compliance to ISO/IEC 15504 is a key part of TickITplus, no prior training in this standard is required, although experience in process capability assessment methods would be a distinct advantage.

Foundation Course
This accredited training course provides delegates with the opportunity to to sit the exam required for registration as TickITplus Foundation Assessor or Practitioner.
This course deals with the overall requirements of TickITplus and should not be regarded as a specialist audit course in any of the requirements standards such as ISO/IEC 20000 or ISO/IEC 27001. Delegates who require these additional skills in order to assess for TickITplus certificates (covering these requirements standards) will need additional training. Prior awareness/familiarisation with the Base Process Library (BPL) and Core Scheme Requirements (CSR) will be beneficial but is not essential.

Foundation course
This training is targeted at those new to the TickITplusscheme. It is mandatory for all entrants to the scheme, and is intended to prepare delegates for taking the Foundation examination by providing:-
- an understanding of TickITplus concepts, materials and relevant standards
- an overview of the scheme and its operation
- an understanding of process capability assessments and the role of the BPL, PRM and PAM
- an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved in the assessments
- the skills needed to participate in assessments at the Foundation level.
- an opportunity to sit the exam required for registration as TickITplus Foundation Assessor or Practitioner
Capability training
Course Pre-requisites
Delegates need to have previously attended the TickITplus Foundation course. Note: there is no requirement for delegates to have passed the TickITplus Foundation examination in order to take the Capability course, but to become a registered TickITplus Capability Assessor or Practitioner both the TickITplus Foundation and Capability examinations must be passed.Course Programme

This is a two-day accredited course and is aimed at building on the material in the Foundation course and is intended to prepare delegates for the application of TickITplus in practice at the Capability level, while also preparing them for taking the Capability level examination. The course provides:- details of the TickITplus scheme requirements at the Bronze and Silver levels covering the process attributes and generic practices
- awareness of the approach to assessments at Bronze and Silver levels
- an understanding of the improvement requirements contained in the scheme based on process outcomes
TickITplus Workshops
Our workshops can also be run on your premises and tailored to suit your needs.
The workshops have been developed for senior management and implementation teams.There is an emphasis on the following points:
- An overview of the scheme
- The different capability levels and what type of effort it would take to achieve them
- The different roles involved in the audit process i.e. Practitioner, Assessor and the type of contribution that Practitioners can make to process improvement etc.
- The Base Process Library and how it is structured
- Explanantion of the format and use of PRM and PAM
- Discussions on how to incorporate other standards such as ISO 20000 and ISO 27001
- The business case for transitioning to TickITplus
- What is involved and how to transition from TickIT to TickITplus
